Union 411: The Right to Organize

By AFSCME Staff ·

The right to form a union and negotiate for ourselves, our families, and our communities — that’s what’s at stake for working families in the next election.

Check out our final “Union 411: 2020 Election Special” video from Secretary-Treasurer Elissa McBride. In this installment, McBride takes a look at where the presidential candidates stand on the right of all workers to stand together in a union. She shares Joe Biden’s and Kamala Harris’ plan to support the Public Service Freedom to Negotiate Act, legislation that would finally give collective bargaining rights to all public sector workers; and the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act, which will strengthen the freedom of all workers to organize and punish employers who violate workers’ rights.
