SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Thousands of members from AFSCME Local 3299 staged another one-day strike last week across the University of California's 10 campuses and five medical centers. Despite the rain, the custodians, truck drivers, nurse aids and respiratory therapists came out to oppose outsourcing of services, which is plaguing workers within the UC system and creating income inequality. Stories about recent Local 3299 strikes can be found here and here.
