The Supreme Court is poised to align even closer with billionaires and corporate special interests. If President Trump’s latest nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, is appointed to the court, working families would suffer even more.
The good news? It’s not too late to stop Kavanaugh’s appointment.
We know that Kavanaugh has repeatedly shown that he’s willing to take extreme positions and break with majority opinion to side with corporations. His record demonstrates that he’s incapable of being an independent justice who will uphold the rights of all Americans, regardless of their race or ethnicity. Kavanaugh would also jeopardize the rights of working people and women.
Kavanaugh has spent his entire career promoting the agenda of the same billionaires and corporate special interests that brought us the Janus v. AFSCME case, which attacked our freedom to join together in strong unions. That case was just the beginning in a longer campaign to strip working people of their power.
What’s also clear, however, is that you can act to protect the rights of working people as Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings take place.
