The AFSCME Fallen Heroes Fund (“Fund”) is a District of Columbia non-profit corporation and a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable and educational organization that provides immediate and longer-term financial, in-kind and other assistance to members and employees of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (“AFSCME”) and their families who are in need as a result of being killed or injured while serving in the U.S. military, in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, or in other natural disasters or man-made conflicts.
